Meagher’s Pharmacy first in Ireland to offer same-day online delivery

Meagher’s Pharmacy Group has become the first pharmacy in Ireland to offer same-day online deliveries for customers in Dublin.

The Meagher’s Express service costs €11.95 and all packages are delivered to customers between 3pm and 9pm from Monday to Friday. There is a 1pm cut-off time for placing orders.

If an order is placed on weekends or public holidays, customers receive their orders on the next working day.

With the exception of medicines, all of the Meaghers’ products on www.meagherspharmacy.ie are available for same-day delivery. The service was introduced following consultation with customers.

Oonagh O’Hagan, Managing Director of Meagher’s Pharmacy Group, says:

“When we ask our customers how we can improve our service further many of them tell us they live busy lives and can leave things to the last minute but often have no time to pop into a store to pick up what they need. We believe this service will provide solutions for products they need urgently that same day.

“We know just how busy lots of our customers are and just how stressful it can be to get items last minute or for urgent care – or even last-minute gifts especially coming up to Christmas – so we believe this service will be invaluable to lots of our customers.

Meagher’s Pharmacy Group has nine stores across Dublin as well as being named Online Pharmacy of the year at this year’s Irish Pharmacy News Awards for its e-commerce service. In May, Meagher’s won the Retail Excellence of the Year Award at the Chambers Ireland InBusiness Recognition Awards 2023 and was named as one of Ireland’s Great Places to work for the third consecutive year at the GPTW awards 2023.
