If planning is approved, the plans will see the amalgamation of units 19 and 20 in the shopping centre to create a medical/healthcare centre that measures 88.2 sqm.

It will also include internal and external alterations to the units and amendments to the elevations of the units.

There is also provision for two signage zones measuring 3.48sqm and 2.64sqm, which will be internally illuminated, on the western and southern elevations of the development along with all ancillary and site development works above and below ground.

Also included within the application is the retention of two signage units, measuring 0.54 sqm and 1.08sqm, which are located on the western and southern elevation.

Dental Care Ireland Knocklyon became part of the Dental Care Ireland group in July 2015, and was established in the Knocklyon Shopping Centre in 1988.

Submissions will be accepted on the application until January 27, 2016 with a decision due from South Dublin County Council on February 17, 2016.
