Mini Scientist Regional Final at Intel site sees 18 projects picked for final

Katie Cramp from St Raphael’s national school in Ballyfermot with part of her team’s project on Gravity seen at the Mini Scientist Regional Final which took place recently at the Intel Ireland site in Leixlip.

Seventy-eight schools from across the region competed for a place in the grand final which takes place on February 3 at the Helix, in Dublin.

Over the two days, 18 projects were selected to go forward to the next stage.

The Intel Mini Scientist Exhibition is a competition for Primary school students in which they develop science-related projects which are exhibited at fairs within their own schools.

This year, over 6,000 students participated in Mini Scientist from 14 different counties with over 100 schools taking part.
