The accounting qualification is recognised as the fastest pathway to a fulfilling and rewarding career in the profession.

Nithya spotted an advertisement for the programme in January 2019.

“I was busy looking after my children and was quite apprehensive as to whether I would be chosen for the course,” she said.

“When I was selected I was happy and nervous at the same time.

“But studying online was a great help in managing my learning time around my family.

“The Accounting Technicians Ireland Diploma programme develops a great interest amongst students for its subjects.

“The course is very well structured and gave me a comprehensive knowledge of accounting.”

On completing the Diploma, Nithya said she had no difficulty enrolling for the third year of  a Business degree and now looks forward to becoming a fully qualified accountant.

“Accounting Technicians Ireland really opened my eyes to finance.

“I’m relishing the prospect of finishing my degree and studying to become a fully qualified accountant with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

“I wouldn’t have been able to do any of this if I hadn’t enrolled for the Accounting Technicians Ireland Diploma.

“If you want to work in finance and enjoy study, Accounting Technicians Ireland is for you.

“Returning to education as a mature student isn’t easy.

“But Accounting Technicians Ireland gave me the confidence to move to a higher level.

“The staff and management at Tallaght Training Centre went above and beyond during lockdown to ensure we all felt comfortable.”

Enrolment for the next academic year, starting in January, is now open.

Accounting Technicians Ireland provides a nationally and internationally recognised accounting qualification, and graduates are employed in industry, commerce, private practice and the public sector.

The highly-regarded professional qualification can be obtained in as little as two years. Study can be full-time, part-time, and online.
