New 2,000 job development for Citywest’s Waterside

THREE new landmark office buildings comprising a total space of 180,000 sq ft could attract as many as 2,000 people to Citywest.
IPUT plc and Davy Real Estate are to develop the buildings, which will be in the Waterside section of the Citywest Business Campus just off the N7.
Planning permission was secured for the development of the three-storey office buildings last December.
There are plans to quote rents of €296 sq m (€27.50 sq ft) for space in the three new office buildings.
The new development will be known as six, seven and eight Waterside, and will include employee facilities such as plant rooms at roof level, an on-site cafe, showers, locker rooms, changing facilities and bike parking.
The development, which has BNP Paribas Real Estate and JLL as joint letting agents, will also contain two vehicular access points off Kingswood Road and the Old Naas Road, and two vehicular access points off Kingswood Avenue.
Building has not yet commenced on the site, but it’s expected that the development will be completed in about 18 months.
Keith O’Neill from BNP Paribas Real Estate told The Echo: “Jobs will be created at the site through construction, so it’s hugely positive for the local economy.
“The site will also have ample car-parking space, which is very important for the occupier.”
Mr O’Neill also added that the Luas Red Line, which provides a direct link between Citywest and the city centre, has made it an attractive area for development.
