New chief executive appointed to Trustus

ONE of the longest serving community-based voluntary organisations in the greater Tallaght area is adding a new lease of life, with the appointment of a new chief executive officer.

Trustus Senior Care has announced this week that Mary Bardin, a highly- experience senior care professional with over 30-years in the healthcare sector, has taken charge as CEO.

Primarily with experience in the provision of services for older persons, people living with dementia, adults and children with intellectual disabilities and community care/family support services, Ms Bardin is taking over from interim CEO John Warren.

“I am incredibly humbled and honoured to join Trustus Senior Care as the new Chief Executive Officer,” Ms Bardin says.

“As I step into this role, I recognise both the challenges and the opportunities that exist within the sector and look forward to working with the board, the staff, key stakeholders, volunteers and the clients and communities that we serve.

“For over 50 years now, Trustus has provided high quality home and day care services across Tallaght and its environs, and I look forward to supporting Trustus in the fulfilment of its mission to contribute to the creation of a caring and supportive society developing beyond limitation.”

Founded in 1969, Trustus We Care claims to be the longest serving community-based/voluntary organisation in Tallaght and South County Dublin.

Aiming to promote a caring environment within the community, Trustus provides support services with the aim to improve the lives of local elderly, disabled, and vulnerable individuals in need.

Trustus We Care, which trades as Trustus Senior Care, has a service provision of home care, a day centre, meals on wheels, seniors alert scheme, an active labour market and more.
