New Citywest estate agents hoping to grow and expand in the community

A TALLAGHT resident is part of a team that has opened the only estate agents in Citywest, with the company hoping to grow and expand as its surrounding community does.

Living in Citywest the past 15 years, David Souhan and his business partner Gavin Howley merged two independent companies, DS Lettings and Lion Lettings, to form Howley Souhan – which has been open for business in Citywest since September.

The duo was originally focused on the rental market however, with the creation of Howley Souhan estate agents they have now expanded into domestic sales, and have added private residential sales to their list of services which also include letting, maintenance and management.

David, who is originally from Templeogue, told The Echo: “We want to expand and develop into sales and while that side of the business is a little slower than the other areas, we understand that we need to establish ourselves within the community – build trust with customers.

“Myself and Gavin have both being fully qualified auctioneers for the past 15 years, we know the industry and have gone through the recession.

“We want to expand our business and grow with Citywest, which is a thriving area that is growing all the time.

“Citywest has the Luas, a shopping centre, access to roads like the N81 and the N7 and some major players in the Citywest Business Campus.”

He added: “We are a one-stop shop for all auctioneering needs and we hope that people will drop in, meet the team and see what we can offer.

“We are the only auctioneers located in Citywest and our prices are very competitive – and if there’s no sale, there’s no fee.”

Five people are employed by Howley Souhan, with one position created after the merger.
