THE 26 BUS route could be extended to Liffey Valley.

This follows a question tabled by local Councillor Guss O’Connell at this week’s Lucan Area Committee meeting of South Dubin County Council.

Cllr O’Connell asked the council to write to Dublin Bus “asking for an updated report on the issues raised at the recent presentation to this committee, including addition capacity and bus routes and the extension of the 26 Bus to the Liffey Valley Retail Centre.”

Dublin Bus replied and stated that “due to some reliability issues with the 25/A/B services, Dublin Bus is currently reviewing schedules on these routes.”

They added that they are currently looking at the possibility of extending route 26 to Liffey Valley with a projected introduction of Autumn 2016 in relation to both routes. They added that both proposals are subject to NTA approval.
