The club also has monthly competitions. In January they had a special effects competition and there were some great entries.

The winner was a black and white image by Des Townsend of a skeleton in a van with a cigarette and dark glasses, looks like he died of smoking.

If you would like to learn how to use a camera and take great photographs why don’t you drop down to Palmerstown Camera Club in the Parish hall Palmerstown opposite the Palmerstown House.

You will meet a warm friendly bunch who will give you all the help you need. The club meets on Wednesday at 8pm
