A NUMBER of free photography outings have been organised by Palmerstown Camera Club (PCC), with members visiting Vartry Reservoir in Wicklow this week.

The next outings are scheduled for the Liberties on July 31, Dunsink Observatory on August  7, and Robertstown in Kildare on August 14.

“The outings are very enjoyable, a great way to meet people and to learn some tips on how to improve your photography,” said Elaine Butler, recently appointed as the new Chair of PCC.

“For people who would like to carpool, we meet at Ulster Bank in Palmerstown village. Check details on our Facebook page or just look up our website www.palmerstowncameraclub.com.

“Palmerstown Camera Club has been in operation for 10 years, and has been very successful in national and international competitions. We always welcome new members.

“On September 4, PCC is holding an open social night. Our club is very supportive and many people who have begun as novices with us, with no photographic experience or training at all, have developed their skills to become national competition winners and even professional photographers.”
