Planning lodged for 49 houses at Alymer Heath

THE Alymer Heath residential development in Newcastle looks to be seeking a conclusion, as a planning application for the development of 49 houses is submitted to South Dublin County Council.

As part of the proposed development, which was submitted by Frank Kiernan on April 8, a derelict football clubhouse located within the site curtilage will be demolished.

Included within the development is 26 three bedroom semi-detached houses, five three-bedroom detached houses, two two bedroom semi-detached houses and 16 three-bedroom terrace houses.

95 car parking spaces, vehicular access points, internal roads and footpaths, an open space area and boundary treatments on the site.

The proposed development will take place on a parcel of land that is split into two – the larger parcel of land is bounded to the northeast by agricultural land and by an existing residential development to the east, southeast and northwest.

An existing residential development is located to the north, east and west of the smaller parcel of land and Main Street is located to the southwest of the site.

Third party submissions will be accepted on the application until May 12, with a decision due from South Dublin County Council by June 2.
