Plans for four detached single-storey restaurant and cafe units in Liffey Valley

A PROPOSAL for the development of a site located between the Arc Cafe Bar and Liffey Valley motor mall has been submitted to South Dublin County Council.

The planning application, which was submitted by Regal Estates with a registered address of Lower Rathmines Road, is for the construction of four detached single-storey restaurant and cafe units.

Also included within the application is provision for the units to function with drive-thru facilities.

The four units will have an overall floor space of approximately 948 sqm, with block one having the largest overall floor space (298 sqm), followed closely by block two (270 sqm) with block three (185 sqm) and block four (195 sqm) providing smaller units.

Parking for 79 cars, which includes nine spaces for electrical cars, and 11 bicycles are part of the application, along with an ESB substation and switch room and a pedestrian canopy.

The entire development will be within a site that covers an area of approximately 6,075 sqm, with a vehicular entrance from Estate Road E and a pedestrian and cyclist crossing also provided from Estate Road E.

Third party submissions on the application will be accepted until May 9, with a decision due from the council by May 30.
