PLANS for a primary health care facility in Rathfarnham Village – at the site of Seasons Pub – have been resubmitted to South Dublin County Council.

The application was supplied by CDP Architects, on behalf of applicant Patrick Lenaghan.

It was first lodged in 2011 as part of the Health Service Executives National Government Plan 2011 to make health services more accessible and locally based.

The applicants are seeking a five year extension to a planning permission granted in 2012.

SDCC backed proposals for a previous application for a primary health care facility in 2011 but this was turned down by An Bord Pleanála on the grounds that the facility would “represent substantial overdevelopment” for the area.

Subsequent plans submitted in 2012 contained a 26.5 per cent reduction in the scale of the facility.

The latest plans contain proposals for a primary care facility consisting of a single storey and two storey extension to the west and two storey extension to the east of the existing Seasons building.

Ground floor plans include pharmacy, welfare offices, social work and allied team facilities.

First floor plans contain dental health, open plan office area, bookable rooms and common areas.

South Dublin County Council are due to make a decision on the application by March 6.
