Plaque to remember all those who worked to keep us safe

A PLAQUE commemorating the Citywest Vaccination Centre as an integral part of the Covid-19 vaccination programme has been unveiled by the Health Service Executive (HSE).

Over 610,000 Covid-19 vaccinations have been administered at the Citywest Vaccination Centre since opening its doors on March 3, 2021.

Over 300 staff, including vaccinators, operations, pharmacy, administration, catering, cleaning and security, worked on site to ensure our population could be vaccinated, as safely and efficiently as possible.

Marking all of those who worked and attended the integral site, Paul Reid, CEO of the HSE, together with Trevor O’Callaghan, CEO of Dublin Midland Hospital Group, and Eileen Whelan, National Lead of the Test, Trace and Vaccination Programme unveiled the plaque.

Citywest Vaccination Centre staff, representatives from the National Ambulance Service, HSE Estates, the Defence Forces, Dublin South Volunteers and Dublin South, Kildare and West Wicklow Community Healthcare, all of which were an integral part of establishing a high-performing health facility were in attendance at the unveiling.
