Pressure to Keep Family Centre Open

Balgaddy Family CentreEARLIER this month The Echo revealed that essential services for almost 1,000 young people were at risk as funding for the centre has run out.

The west Dublin based centre was opened in June 2013 and was funded and built by limited life foundation Atlantic Philanthropies – with that funding set to expire in December.
Last week local Minister for Justice Frances Fitzgerald TD facilitated a meeting with parents and Child and Family Agency CEO Mr Jeyes in an effort to ensure that additional funding can be sourced to keep the centre open.
