Primary school plans for two temporary prefabs

PLANS to install temporary prefabs on the grounds of a primary school have been filed with South Dublin County Council.

Scoil Aonghusa Senior National School is seeking permission to erect two temporary prefabricated buildings on its premises in Balrothery.

The Board of Management in the school lodged the planning application.

Plans are for the provision of one 100sq.m single storey temporary prefab, comprising of one classroom and three resource rooms adjacent to the south-east boundary of the site.

Another temporary prefab, of around 70sq.m and comprising of one classroom, is proposed in the application located to the north-west boundary of the site.

All associated site works are also included in the application which was lodged with the local planning authority on April 5, 2022.

The closing date for third party submissions in respect of this planning application is May 9, 2022.

The planning department of South Dublin County Council is due to make a decision on the proposal by May 30.

Scoil Aonghusa Senior National School opened its doors in 1975 and caters for over 200 pupils from third to sixth class.
