Public consultation events on Climate Change Action Plan

FOUR public consultation events will be held around the county about South Dublin County Council’s draft Climate Change Action Plan 2019 – 2024.

The events form part of the public consultation process for the draft plan which runs from February 11 to March 25 2019.

On Tuesday, February 19, a public consultation will be held in County Hall, Tallaght, from 6pm to 9pm and pre-registration online at Eventbrite.ie is required to attend.

The council’s three other public consultation events, in Lucan Library on February 26 from 9am to 1pm, in Ballyroan Library on February 27 from 9am to 1pm and in Tallaght Library on March 1 from 9am to 1pm do not require pre-registration to attend.

During the consultation period the draft Climate Change Action Plan will be available for inspection at County Hall, Tallaght and the council’s Clondalkin office every Monday to Thursday from 9am to 5pm, and on Fridays from 9am to 4.30pm.

The plan will also be available for inspection in Lucan Library, Ballyroan Library and Clondalkin Library every Monday to Thursday from 9.45am to 8pm and on Fridays and Saturdays from 9.45am to 4.30pm.

Submissions or observations with respect to South Dublin County Council draft Climate Change Action Plan 2019-2024 may be made at one of the public events, online via www.dublinclimatechange.ie and through the Public Consultation Portal http://consult.sdublincoco.ie, by email to climateaction@sdublincoco.ie, or in writing to arrive no later than 4.30pm on Friday, 29 March 2019.

Written submissions should be addressed to: The Senior Executive Officer, Environment, Water and Climate Change Department, South Dublin County Council, County Hall, Tallaght, Dublin 24, and there is no charge to make a submission on the draft plan.
