Kilnamanagh Family Recreation Centre are looking for younger members to form a new executive committee

Tony Condren, Secretary of the Kilnamanagh Family Recreation Centre said that the campaign so far has received a “positive” response.

“We already have an executive committee, but we are starting to age, so we are trying to get younger members of the community to join. Some of the members have been on the committee for 30 and 40 years,” said Tony.

“We started a campaign there a few weeks back and it got a good response. We are looking for more people at present and we are looking forward to fully reopening.”

The centre will provide members with training but are ideally looking for people that have good interpersonal skills and knowledge of events management, health and safety or employment law, information technology, accounting, typing or any trade skill such as electrical, plumbing, heating or any skill considered useful.

If you are interested in joining the executive committee you can send an email expressing interest to kfrc.mem@gmail.com or ring the centre on (01) 452 1199.
