RESIDENTS of Elder Heath in Kiltipper took part in a socially distanced bingo game in aid of Tallaght University Hospital Foundation – raising over €2,300 in the process.
Elder Heath resident Sarah Jayne Tobin said: “Up to €2,300 was raised for Tallaght Hospital Foundation on the night, which was attended by around 250 residents of Elder Heath. €425 was handed out as cash prizes during the bingo which was organised by Darren Meade of DNA entertainment.

“Many local businesses also contributed some really cool prizes for a raffle including Mercedes Blue Tooth Headphones and kid’s garden play toys. All in all, it was a fantastic evening, the sun even came out.”
Residents also took part in a successful bingo night for TAUF last year raising over €2,000.
Similar to the more recent bingo, it saw people of all ages take part in a socially distanced event on the main green in the estate, while others set up in their gardens and driveways.
Residents paid €10 per bingo sheet, and anyone who wanted to donate more was free to do so.
Players were competing for cash prizes while the neighbours all joined forces to donate a whole range of other awards including bottles of wine and spirits.
