Resilient Palmerstown make a great start to season

PALMERSTOWN FC made a blistering start to their LSL Premier One campaign on Sunday after they battled back from two goals down to beat Tymon Bawn 7-2 in Tallaght.

It all looked to be going well for the homeside after Alan Morris and JP McGuire found the back of the net.

Palmerstown Danny McSweeney scored a brace

Yet Palmerstown were not about to throw in the towel and fought their way into the lead, thanks in no small measure to a brace each from Danny McSweeney and Derek McDonald.

John Boshell, Jamie Rice and Craig Fitzgerald also got on the scoresheet as the visitors rocketed to the top of the table on goal difference.

Elsewhere in the same division, Belgard Athletic carded an emphatic 4-0 demolition of Edenderry Town while neighbours Marks Celtic edged a 2-1 win at home to Ballyoulster United.
