Zack Furey accounted for Cherry Orchard’s goal after he held his nerve from the penalty spot, but it was not enough to reel the Saints back in.

Pat’s ignited their tournament campaign with an emphatic  4-1 win over Swansea in which Kavanagh was again on the double while Kian Leavy and Lennon Gill made up the balance of their tally.

The next day they notch-ed up another two wins with Kavanagh accounting for the only goal in their clash with Aberdeen be-fore he and Kyle Conway hit the target in a 3-0 victory over Cliftonville.

And another convincing performance by the side in the decider resulted in captain Brandon Holt raising the trophy.

The Orchard team can be very proud of their efforts carding wins over Newcastle and the DDSL.
