Roadstone Group Sports Club plan to install six flood lighting poles

THE Roadstone Group Sports Club in Clondalkin has submitted a planning application for the erection of six flood lighting poles at their Kingswood Cross site in Clondalkin.

The structures are to have varying pole top luminaire assemblies.

The Roadstone Group Sports Club have submitted planning for the erection of six flood lighting poles

Four of the poles will be 18.29m high and two of the poles will be 12.19m high, and they will be located around the existing grass pitches at the site.

Fianna Fáil councillor Charlie O’Connor lodged a third-party submission stating that he wished to “strongly support this important planning application”.

A decision on the application is due from South Dublin County Council by April 21.

The Roadstone Group Sports Club was set up in 1968 for the employees of the nearby Roadstone quarry, and hosts a number of sporting sections, including pitch and putt, darts, snooker, badminton and indoor football.
