On Thursday morning, April 2, the council shared images of four locations across the county, which would normally be bustling with traffic and people throughout the day – and heavy traffic at rush hour.

Captured on council traffic cameras, the images show quiet roads and streets in Lucan Village, Clondalkin Village, the Spawell roundabout and the Tallaght Bypass at Whitestown Way, as people stay home, leaving their homes for essential journeys only.
After sharing the images on Twitter, the council thanked people across the county for heeding Government guidelines.
