SDCC to carry out precautionary gritting of some roads tonight

Temperatures look set to dip under freezing tonight, and as a precaution SDCC will grit roads in the upland and hilly areas around Ballinascorney and Bohernabreena.

The N81 Tallaght Bypass will also be gritted at 5am tomorrow morning.

SDCC will carry out a precautionary gritting in upland and hilly areas around Ballinascorney, Bohernabreena and along the N81 at 5am.

Meanwhile, M50 management have said they are not currently planning any precautionary winter maintenance tonight.

In a message earlier this evening they said: “Temperatures are marginal and will be monitored.”
