Seven years jail for possession of drugs worth over €3 million

A Dublin man, whose overuse of painkillers following a workplace accident led to a drug addiction and debt, has been jailed for seven years for possession of more than €3 million worth of cannabis and cocaine, reports Natasha Reid.

Dublin Circuit Criminal Court heard that Ian Kidney had not previously been involved in crime, when he came under garda surveillance on April 3, last year.
