Six houses granted permission for Main Street in Newcastle

PERMISSION has been granted for the construction of six three-bedroom houses at St Finian’s Way on Main Street in Newcastle.

South Dublin County Council granted planning permission to Pavement Homes Ltd for the housing scheme this month.

Construction of a proposed access road and footpaths and provision of car parking facilities to serve the proposed development are included.

Construction of a water surface sewer network to serve the proposed development including the connections/amendments to the existing adjoining surface water network form part of the plans.

The provision of watermain to serve the proposed development and connection to existing adjoining water main and the provision of all necessary utility services and all ancillary site works is also included.

On October 3, South Dublin County Council decided to grant permission for the development with a number of conditions.

These conditions include the submission of a revised layout plan, a confirmation of feasibility letter from Irish Water, and that none of the houses can be occupied before the utility services are connected.

Pavement Homes Ltd already has a foothold in construction in Newcastle, as it’s the developer behind the Market Square residential development.
