Sod turned on third stand at Tallaght Stadium
MAYOR Paul Gogarty, turned the sod at the start of the construction of the new South Stand at Tallaght Stadium, with the building contractor, ABM Ltd. now on site.
The new stand will be a single tier structure, with 2,183 spectator seats, to be built along the southern end of Tallaght Stadium, and it is anticipated that the stand will be completed by the end of September 2018.

South Dublin County Council (SDCC) is 'delighted' that Tallaght Stadium is being expanded, with improved spectator facilities being provided.
The capacity of Tallaght Stadium will be over 8,000 seats once the stand is completed.
