South Dublin Chamber Awards: A damaging year, but the Red Cow Moran Hotel are looking ahead

Over the past four years The South Dublin Chamber Business Awards have been celebrating the vibrant and successful business community in our county. Despite the business awards not taking place this year, South Dublin Chamber wanted to continue celebrating our local business community. Through an Echo feature, the chamber looked back over recent years, revisiting previous awards and recognising the many businesses that were winners.

LEGENDARY hotelier Tom Moran was a popular winner of the businessman of the year award two years ago.

This was followed by the rest of the Moran clan, who collectively won the accolade for Best Family Business last year.

2020 has been such a damaging year for industry but the group are looking ahead and appreciate the recognition the Chamber awards provided their staff.

Tracey Moran, Director of Communications, Red Cow Moran Hotel, said: “My Dad Tom Moran, CEO of the Red Cow Moran Hotel, was the proud recipient of the ‘South Dublin Chamber Business Man of the Year Award’ in 2018 and then in 2019 we won ‘Best Family Owned and Managed Business’.

Our family and the incredible team we have around us here at the Red Cow Moran Hotel, are extremely passionate about what we do.

“To be acknowledged and recognised for the part we play in South Dublin’s business community was hugely important to us. The South Dublin Chamber Awards night is something we look forward to annually and while we are disappointed that it won’t take place this year, we will look forward to a safer Covid-free event in 2021.”
