ST ANNE’S GAA Club will hold its Into The Light 5K Run and Walk of Hope this Saturday, October 3, in association with Shane Smith Fitness.
Kicking off at 6am, everyone is asked to gather at St Anne’s GAA Club, and the Into The Light Run and Walk of Hope will then head through the valley of Glenasmole.
A Tree of Hope will also be planted on the grounds of the Bohernabreena Lakes at first light, with everyone welcome to return to St Anne’s GAA for tea and coffee.
Fergus Walsh, PRO of St Anne’s told The Echo: “This beautiful early morning is planned to remember loved ones lost by suicide and in recognition of those currently suffering with depression.
“All the family are welcome to come along , make a donation to The Tree of Hope and join in whatever way they like.
“Some will run, some will jog and more will walk. Prayers are currently being said for good weather on the day.”
