ST PATRICK’S Athletic have bolstered their squad ahead of the new 2020 season with three more signings.

King (25), who previously played with Greenock Morton, Dundee United and Hearts, is excited about his latest move, telling stpatsfc.com “After reading up about the club and weighing up my options, I was delighted to sign as everything I heard for the future sounds positive.”

Ward (22), likewise, is relishing the new challenge, telling the club website “I spoke to a few lads who have played over here and know about the league here and it’s a really good standard and very professional so I’m really looking forward to the season ahead at Pat’s.

“I can’t wait to get the ball rolling and the first game in Richmond Park” he said.

Former Shamrock Rovers player, James Doona is another of the latest signings for Stephen O’Donnell’s outfit, the Inchicore lad penning a deal that sees him remain with his local club for a third season.

“It feels good to be back at the club in pre-season” he said. “I’ve loads to prove this year. I felt I kicked on last year when Stephen came into the club, so hopefully I can do that again for this year.

“There’s a lot of places up for grabs and everyone is competing hard as they want to play so hopefully I can kick on” he added.
