Storm Doris wreaked havoc locally with walls and trees down in Tallaght and Ballyfermot
Across the country the clean-up has begun after Storm Doris wreaked havoc across many parts of Ireland, sending winds of up to 140kmp/h crashing into whatever was in its path.
There were several thousand people left without power during the night and into this morning, while both Luas passengers and those heading to London on Aer Lingus were also affected.

Closer to home there was obvious evidence of Storm Doris’ power in Ballyfermot where this wall (above) came crashing down during the night.
Meanwhile, several fallen trees were reported in the Tallaght area, including what was most likely one of the oldest in Tallaght village, located in the Priory.

This tree in Kingswood (above) certainly felt the full brunt of the storm, with the strong gusts lifting roots and all.
Traffic lights were out of action in Old Bawn too as the lights were literally blown onto the ground, while reports of rogue trampolines were only outdone by the amount of wheelie bins which gained a life of their own during the night.
…and of course there were the few that saw the lighter side of the storm, with tweets like these giving us a laugh.
