Retired St Dominic’s Principal Mary Daly said she was “extremely proud” of Nikita’s achievements.

“During Sixth Year, she was chosen as the most determined, reliable and visionary student for the role of Head Girl, and she demonstrated a great sense of responsibility in assuming this demanding role and achieving the balance to pursue her studies and be an ever-present positive role model in the school community.”

Sarah Green, Principal of St Dominic’s College said: “The whole school community are so proud of Nikita. She is an excellent role model to our current students. Nikita has such a bright future ahead of her.”

Career Guidance teacher Cheryl Keeler said Nikita was a member of her tutor group and described her as a modest yet hard-working young lady with a bright future ahead of her.

Nikita said she was delighted to receive the award.

“It will assist me by alleviating financial stress and really help me focus on my studies going forward,” she said.
