Summer Local – Coffee at The Edge serving up their specially roasted, small batch coffees

COFFEE at The Edge say they serve “the best coffee in Tallaght”, with their specially roasted, small batch, single origin beans providing a cup of joe for the ages.

Located on the outskirts of Tallaght off the Avonmore Road, Coffee at The Edge is the only coffee shop located along the new Dodder Valley Greenway.

There is something inviting about coming off the lively greenway into the bustling atmosphere of Coffee at The Edge, with 10 trained baristas priding themselves on serving the best possible produce.

All of the members of staff are local heads, with the profits raised from the business reinvested into creating employment in the area since its establishment in 2020.

A social enterprise, the shop is operated by Partas and it is their second coffee spot to launch, after The County Fare in Tallaght Enterprise Centre.

“Here at Coffee at The Edge we use specialty coffee from Full Circle,” says Enterprise and Projects Manager with Partas, Amy Keating.

Paul, Dean, Ian and Chuky always give great service with a smile

“Our coffee is small batch, single origin which means that it is completely ethical and hand roasted to perfection for our customers to enjoy.

“As we are a social enterprise, it is key to us that our coffee and tea are sourced from ethical suppliers.

“We also ensure that all of our produce tea, cakes, food, and sweet treats are sourced locally to create local employment in our area.”

All of their produce is made within the vicinity by local bakers while they have a chef working on site to provide a wide array of eclectic bites for lunch.

Ian likes to create new latte art for The Edge customers

Open Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm and from 10am to 5pm on weekends, Coffee at The Edge has grown into a popular location for families, business meetings or simple catchups between friends.

While the menu changes to reflect what is in season, the tried and tested pasta salads are big hit alongside their selection of sandwiches and wraps – while the pastries fly out the door.

“Of course, our coffee is very popular,” Amy says.

“The Cappuccino tends to be a fan favourite. However with that gorgeous sun that has been beaming off our beautiful building an Iced Latte is coming in at a close second.”
