‘Super Kid’ Robert stars on wellness podcast

A LOCAL boy is starring on an episode of a new health, happiness and wellness podcast called The Kids Are All Right!
Robert Mockler is awarded the first ‘Super Kids’ of the series for his drive to spread awareness of Developmental Language Disorder (DLD).

The team behind the child-centric podcast want to help get the best advice straight from experts directly to the kids through their fun-filled episodes.
Robert (12) was diagnosed with the disorder, which causes difficulties with speaking and language comprehension, when he was six-years-old.
The 6th class pupil benefited from early interventions, from the HSE Early Intervention Team, in the years leading up to his diagnosis, but he still has some day-to-day struggles as a result of the disorder.
Over the past year, the Citywest native has been working hard to spread awareness of the disorder which can affect two children in every classroom.
Robert spoke to The Echo and to The Irish Times about what it is like living with DLD, appeared on Nuacht TG4 on International DLD Awareness Day and even gave a special presentation to his classmates about the disorder.
As a result of his efforts, Robert was asked to appear on The Kids Are All Right! to share his experiences and the team behind the podcast, wanted to give him a big surprise.
The first of the series’ Super Kids, listeners can hear the moments as Robert, who is a huge fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, received a special superhero-themed surprise at home.
Covering everything from coronavirus to sleep, dealing with worries, building self-confidence to healthy eating and bullying, The Kids Are All Right! is focusing on anything and everything that affects kids’ sense of happiness and wellness.
Robert is featured in Episode Nine entitled Super Kids – Robert Mockler, which is live on all streaming platforms such as Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts and more.
