Superstar visits Pieta ahead of sold-out gigs

SINGER Dermot Kennedy visited Pieta in Ballyfermot ahead of his sold-out gigs in the 3Arena this month in which all proceeds are going to Focus Ireland and Pieta.

The pop superstar, who hails from Rathcoole, paid a visit to Pieta Ballyfermot Centre on Saturday, December 4 ahead of his ‘You Won’t Go Lonely’ gigs on December 13 and 14.

Dermot met with Pieta Regional Manager and Therapist, Leigh Kenny, along with Pieta Corporate Partnerships Manager, Fionn Faherty on the day.

The two upcoming December shows will see all profits split between two charitable causes which are vital to help and support people, especially coming up to Christmas time.

Speaking about the announcement of the gigs, Dermot said on Twitter: “All proceeds will be going to Pieta House and Focus Ireland to aid in their life-changing work.

“I can’t tell you what it means to finally be back on stage in my hometown after nearly two years and I can’t wait to see you there, in aid of two extremely important causes.”
