JRC ‘12k of Christmas’ run and toy drive for VISIT

JOBSTOWN Running Club held a ‘12K of Christmas’ run and toy drive in aid of Tallaght based charity, VISIT, reports Aimee Walsh.

Members of the running club held the fundraising event on Saturday, December 4, to help support local charity VISIT, who do incredible work helping people within the community with food hampers, clothing and provisions.

Those who participated in the 12km run were asked to donate a gift or toy which will then be passed on to VISIT to give out to children in need this Christmas.

Headed up by Jobstown resident Stephen Martin, the Jobstown Running Club have raised significant amounts of money for various charities through fundraising events since being established last May.
