FRONTline workers and OAPs have access to free car towing by a company willing to give a little help during Covid-19.

Patrick Gavin launched AsapTow.ie in 2015 originally with one tow truck.

Today he has two tow trucks on the road full-time and three staff in total, including Patrick.

“We predominantly offer a car-towing service but also provide a jump-start service and breakdown assistance,” he said.

“We’re currently offering free car-towing service for frontline staff and OAPs in the vicinity of Dublin as a way of giving back in this difficult period.”

Lockdown restrictions have improved traffic congestion on the city streets, but this has affected Gavin’s business, leading him to improvise with additional services.

“The amount of breakdowns has nosedived inevitably, so with previous experience in the motor trade we’ve turned our attention to ‘cash for cars’ as a side hustle.

It’s basically buying cars from the public at competitive prices with the promise of cash on collection for good, bad and ugly unwanted vehicles.”

Although times are tough, Gavin believes it is always important to budget for advertising.

“My advice to any distressed businesses at the moment would be to double up on advertising platforms as it is essential for survival and to be patient before we know it things will be back to normal.

“As a business owner, I strive for perfection and ensure an ‘on time, every time’ service is provided to all our customers.”
