Tallaght Community Council (TCC) has been shortlisted in the Charity Impact Awards and they need the community’s vote by tomorrow to win!

The closing date for voting in the very tight race is tomorrow, December 6, with TCC encouraging all residents to get voting and give Tallaght a national win.

Volunteering in the community for the more than 40 years, TCC is made up residents who support, promote and celebrate Tallaght through a number of diverse projects such as planning, environmental and cultural initiatives, Tallaght Person of the Year and Tallafest.

Now TCC needs the community’s support after being shortlisted for the award programme’s Community Impact Award in the Small Organisation category (no paid staff).

The Community Impact Award celebrates the work of community and voluntary organisations, clubs or groups that have brought about positive change.

The awards are organised by The Wheel, Ireland’s national association of community, voluntary and charitable organisations, and are held to “promote best practice and increase awareness of the significance and role of the non-profit sector in Irish society”.
