A MAN charged in connection with possession of stolen cash in a house in Clondalkin last summer has also been charged with preventing a robber’s arrest.

Stephen Dunne was before Judge David McHugh in Blanchardstown Court for service of the book of evidence on the first charge.

Dunne, aged 25, with an address at Hazel Grove Court, Tallaght, is charged with possessing stolen property, €520 in cash and a £20 sterling note at an address, at Lealand Gardens, Clondalkin, on July 18, 2016.

He was also charged with impeding the apprehension and arrest of an individual who allegedly committed a robbery at More4Less, Bawnogue, Clondalkin, at his home address on July 18, 2016, contrary to Section 7 of the Criminal Law Act, 1997.

Garda Goretti Lynch told Judge McHugh that she arrested Dunne before the court that morning. She said Dunne made no reply when charged.

A solicitor for the DPP told the judge that the DPP had directed trial on indictment.

He asked for six weeks for service of the book.

Judge McHugh remanded Dunne on continuing bail to a date in January for service of the book.
