By Brendan Grehan
A TALLAGHT man who allegedly sexually assaulted two female patients at a care home has been sent forward for trial to the Circuit Court.
Peter Hilliard was before Judge Patricia McNamara in Tallaght Court for service of his book of evidence.
Hilliard was working in the care home as a care worker at the time.
The DPP had previously directed trial on indictment in Hilliard’s case.
Hilliard, aged 54, with an address at Bolbrook Grove, Tallaght, is charged with sexually assaulting a named female at a care home in south Dublin on a date unknown between February 20, 2013 and January 6, 2016.
He is also charged with sexually assaulting another named female at the same care home on a date between June 24 and June 25, 2016.
In relation to the second charge, Hilliard allegedly videoed himself touching the woman’s breasts and put the video up on Facebook.
A Solicitor for the DPP told Judge McNamara that the book of evidence was ready to be served.
She said the DPP had consented for Hilliard to be sent forward on bail to the next sittings of Dublin Circuit Court.
She said Hilliard could be sent forward on his current bail conditions which are his own bond of €200 and conditions that he sign on once a week at Tallaght Garda Station and that he reside at his home address.
Hilliard was represented by his solicitor, Padraig O’Donovan. Judge McNamara sent Hilliard forward on continuing bail to the next sittings of Dublin Circuit Court.
