A plaque was unveiled by Paddy Taylor, recently retired, who worked in the college and the sports hall for the last thirty-five years.

Ms Cahalane, the principal, and Brother Nick, representing the Board of management and the Marist Community, paid tribute to Paddy for his loyalty, hard work and dedication over so many years.

Members of Paddy’s family – his three children, including past pupil Ben, and his grandchildren – witnessed the opening with great pride.

His family would be most aware of the special place the college holds for him.

Paddy always wanted a new floor installed for the college.

It was his great wish to see a new floor in the hall to make it more suitable and available to local communities.

The celebrations continued that evening with a celebration dinner hosted by the Board of Management of Moyle Park College.
