Teen caught with 18-inch crowbar hidden up his jacket sleeve on Christmas Eve

A TEENAGER (17) was caught on Christmas Eve last year with a 18-inch long crowbar hidden up the sleeve of his jacket, Tallaght Court has heard.

The 17-year-old was accompanied by his mother.

The teenager, who has an address in Tallaght is charged with possession of a crowbar in an estate in Cushlawn Park, Tallaght, on December 24, 2017. Judge Patricia McNamara asked what was alleged.

Sergeant Eithne Madden said it will be alleged that on December 24 2017, Garda Kieran Kilcoyne stopped the teenager and found that he had an 18-and-a-half-inch  crowbar hidden up one of his sleeves.

Judge McNamara accepted jurisdiction. She remanded the teenager on continuing bail to January 25 next in Court 55 in Smithfield.
