Tenants, guests and staff gather for sweet Christmas celebration
Christmas got off to a sweet start for the tenants and staff of Saint John of God Housing Association, when they kick started the festive season in style at their premises in Gleann na hEorna, Tessa House, Tallaght.
Close to 70 guests, tenants and staff gathered for the Christmas celebration, which saw those in attendance greeted by the Maria Lane (Tallaght Cancer Support Group) Choir and handed a warming mug of hot chocolate sponsored by Respond! Housing Association.
Guests then settled down for a four-course Christmas feast with all the trimmings, which was generously sponsored by KC Peaches Café and Delicatessen.
In a statement, St John of God’s said: “Full credit and our thanks to our hard-working and generous sponsors, and indeed to our tenants arts and crafts group, which hand-crafted all of the table decorations, the Christmas tree decorations, and all of the Christmas cards and decorations in the reception area, all of which added to the Christmas festive spirit.”
After the meal, everyone sat down to watch Miracle on 34th Street on a new TV and DVD system that was bought through a grant from the South County Dublin Local Community Fund.
