Toastmasters look to set up new club in Tallaght
EFFORTS are being made to set up a Toastmasters Club in Tallaght, with anybody interested in helping to get the project off the ground encouraged to get in touch.
A worldwide organisation, Toastmasters International provides training in public speaking and presentation in a friendly, fun and encouraging way – with a Toastmasters running in Clondalkin since 1998.
Now, Tallaght man John Conroy, who has been a member of Toastmasters for five years, is hoping to established a club for Dublin 24 and its surrounding areas.
John said: “I am a member of five years standing and would be delighted to meet likeminded people.
“You don’t need to be from Tallaght to join or attend any meeting… and no experience is required.”
John is holding an open evening in St Kevin’s Family Resource Centre in Kilnamanagh on April 10 at 7.30pm, and all are welcome.
Anybody interested in establishing Tallaght Toastmasters is invited to email John at communitynewsletter24@gmail.com, call 087 4160988 or visit the tallaghttoastmaster-d24 Facebook page.
