The 36-year-old told The Echo that he’s looking forward to the awards, and he expressed his appreciation for the recognition that the awards give to key members of the community.

Denis said: “It’s a privilege to be asked to come along and attend the Tallaght Person of the Year Awards, but it’s all about the people who have been nominated for the awards.

“It’s great that these people get recognised for their achievements, and they set an example to others in the community.”

He added: “The awards are going to show all of the good in Tallaght, and I look forward to getting a deeper understanding of what the nominees do.

“It will be an eye-opener.”

This year will be the 34th year of the annual awards ceremony, which takes place in the Red Cow Moran Hotel on Friday, November 17.
