“Earlier this morning, Firefighter/Paramedics from Tallaght and Dolphins Barn were called to an RTC on the N4 outbound at Lucan”, DFB said.

“Two patients were treated for non-life threatening injuries.

“N4 users will experience severe delays as recovery takes place.”

Gardai and emergency services attended the scene on the N4 Westbound at the Dodsboro exit with heavy lifting equipment.

According to information provided through An Garda Siochana’s Twitter account, motorists should expect long delays in both directions.

Gardai confirmed that traffic is being diverted through Lucan village.

In a comment to The Echo, a Garda spokesperson said that the ‘road remains closed and traffic still remains heavy’.
