A PLANNING application for the construction of two, four-storey office buildings in the Citywest Business Campus has been lodged with South Dublin County Council.

The proposed development is on Bianconi Avenue and has a total floor area of 13,250sqm.

Lodged by Citywest Ltd, the application also provides for plants rooms at roof level, landscaping, basement and surface carparking, bike sheds, two service buildings and two new vehicular entrances off Bianconi Avenue.

It is unknown at this stage if the offices are being built to facilitate a particular company or if Citywest Ltd is increasing its office space to attract potential new business.

Located on the Naas Road, the business campus is in easy reach of a number of main transport routes including the M50 and the N81, and is only a 30-minute drive from Dublin airport and the city centre.

There’s also a leading list of global companies located within the campus, such as SAP, Eircom, Pfizer, Unilever, Sony, Abbott, Adobe and Xilinx.

A decision is due by South Dublin County Council by February 8.

The planning application can be viewed on www.sdcc.ie.
