Two men to appear in court in relation to cash seized in Clondalkin

Two men will appear in court this morning in relation to the seizure of a significant amount of cash in Clondalkin in August 2016.

The men, aged 31 and 40, are scheduled to appear before Court Number Four at The Criminal Courts of Justice this morning at 10.30am.

As part of ongoing investigations targeting serious criminal activity in the Dublin Region Gardai attached to the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, assisted by the newly formed Special Crime Task Force, stopped and searched a vehicle in the vicinity of the Fonthill Road, Dublin 22 on the afternoon of Saturday 27th August 2016 at approximately 1pm.
 
During the operation Gardai located and seized a significant amount of cash concealed in the vehicle, estimated at €200,000.
