Two senior appointments at construction giant Sisk
CITYWEST-based Sisk have made two new appointments from within the business at Managing Director level.
Brian Comaskey has been appointed Managing Director of Sisk’s Ireland East business unit, while Diarmuid O’Sullivan has been appointed as Managing Director of the newly established Sisk Energy Business Unit.
The company headquartered at Lake Drive in Citywest Business Campus noted that the pair have combined 56 years of experience at the construction company and that the promotions are expected to help continue to grow and deliver its strategy.
Brian first joined Sisk in 2004 as an engineer, working on a range of Dublin city centre projects across the residential and commercial sectors.
He progressed to become Contracts Manager, then Project Director and since 2022, Regional Director.
Brian stated: “I am delighted to be appointed as Managing Director of the Sisk, Ireland East business unit.
“Having spent 22 years with Sisk, I can see great opportunity for us to grow and develop further in the residential and commercial space in Dublin and play a key role in the overall company strategy in healthcare, energy and infrastructure.
“I’m looking forward to continuing to build upon existing and new client relationships.”
Diarmuid moves into the MD role at the new energy business unit after time with the group’s data centre business.
He initially joined the company in 1992 as a graduate engineer and progressed through roles, including Director for Ireland & Europe, and described the new business unit at Sisk as “a significant long-term opportunity.”
Diarmuid said: “The energy transition represents a significant long-term opportunity for Sisk, and I believe we have all the experience and capability needed to become a leading delivery partner for these vital projects.
“The move towards cleaner and more secure energy is creating exciting opportunities, and establishing this dedicated business unit gives us the leadership and focus required to build a sustainable business in this sector.”
