‘Vacuum of lack of gardai would be filled with violence’

ORWELLIAN doublespeak by Ministers who state garda numbers in Ballyfermot are up, when in reality, they are down 25 per cent in the last 10 years, was blasted this week by Cllr Daithí Doolan (SF).

The loss of Ballyfermot Garda Station as District HQ in the early 2000s, was also cited as a “disaster” for Dublin 10, according to Cllr Vincent Jackson (Ind).
